Although one of the smaller provinces – it is often said that the diverse wilderness of KZN represents South Africa in one province. Incredible beaches, the dramatic Drakensberg Mountains, many game rich reserves, the historic battlefields route, the arts and crafts route of the Midlands Meander and the World Heritage site of the St Lucia lake system makes up this incredible scenic province.

The land of the Zulu nation, KZN also offers many Zulu cultural interactions, as well as a large Indian influence in Durban.

If you’re looking at getting close to nature and away from the crowds, then the Kosi Bay lake system with its raffia forests, estuaries, incredible birding and magnificent untouched beaches is the place for you. The marine reserve is a delight to experience with its turtles, whales and dolphins.
